In the context of adapting to existing planning,this study addresses the issue of current community renew-al focusing on physical environments while neglecting spiritual needs,and aims to promote the balanced and sustain-able development of urban living environments.By reviewing the historical evolution of community renewal both do-mestically and internationally,this study explores strategies for community renewal in China.Guided by humanistic care and focusing on cultural connotations and social design,it proposes strategies for urban age-friendly community cultural content exploration and landscape shaping based on public participation.The study suggests humanistic care renewal strategies in three directions:cultural empowerment,landscape design,and public participation.
