STUDY ON MULTI-DIMENSIONAL SHRINKAGE MEASUREMENT AND PREDICTION OF COUNTY TOWNS
In China, the multidimensional shrinkage phenomenon in county-level towns has become apparent.A deep assessment of its status, spatiotemporal evolution, and development trends is crucial for high-quality develop-ment of these towns.Using Heilongjiang Province as a case study, this paper applies methods such as entropy value method, exploratory spatial analysis, and time series forecasting models to analyze the shrinkage characteristics of 76 county-level towns from demographic, economic, and social dimensions. The study finds that county-level towns in Heilongjiang are experiencing deepening multidimensional shrinkage, with economic shrinkage showing regional clustering.Predictions for 2021-2030 suggest a slowdown in economic and social shrinkage, while population shrinkage remains high. These findings provide a critical basis for developing intervention strategies and offer valu-able insights for other regions facing similar challenges.
