Based on the development trends of commercial complexes under the experience economy and the strate-gic requirements of China's fertility policy,this study explores the impact of public space environment elements in commercial complexes on parent-child interaction levels.By analyzing and extracting observational factors affecting parent-child interaction levels and the public space elements of commercial complexes,the study selects four com-mercial complexes in Harbin as research subjects.It determines the quality of the spatial environment and the inten-sity of parent-child interaction,and performs a correlation analysis between the two.Finally,based on the analysis results,recommendations are made for optimizing the public space environment in commercial complexes.
