EVALUATION OF EXCAVATION DISASTER CHAINS BASED ON FTA AND AHP COMBINED WEIGHTS
Once a foundation pit fails,it can trigger a series of cascading failures with severe consequences. This study applies fault tree analysis to determine the structural importance of basic events and constructs a judgment ma-trix within the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)to determine the combined weights. These weights are then inte-grated with node degrees in the disaster chain to obtain the risk values for each disaster chain associated with contin-uous failure of the foundation pit.The results indicate that the main risk chains for continuous failure of the founda-tion pit are the support structure damage from infiltrating water, the support structure damage from the support struc-ture deformation, and water and sand gushing from infiltrating water.Attention should be given to these aspects dur-ing the construction process.
