OPTIMIZATION ANALYSIS OF CONSTRUCTION PLANS FOR SOFT SOIL EXCAVATION NEAR SUBWAY LINES
Excavation of foundation pits can significantly disturb adjacent metro structures. This study, based on the foundation pit engineering near a metro station,a section tunnel, and entrances, establishes three-dimensional finite element models for overall excavation and two different segmented excavation methods. It analyzes the horizontal and vertical displacement characteristics of the metro structures under these three scenarios. The results show that the horizontal displacement towards the foundation pit is predominant in both the station and tunnel sections.Com-pared to overall excavation, segmented excavation has a lesser impact on the metro structures.Among the segmented excavation schemes, the optimal approach involves excavating the north pit first followed by the south pit after reach-ing the second layer.Displacements are primarily observed during the excavation phase and are reduced during the structural construction phase. The interface between the station and tunnel experiences significant impact from the foundation pit excavation. These conclusions provide valuable insights and references for similar engineering proj-ects under comparable geological conditions.
