DESIGN OF NEW RURAL HOUSES UNDER PREFABRICATED BOX ASSEMBLY SYSTEM
To promote prefabricated rural housing construction and improve the quality of self-built homes in rural areas,the Hebei provincial construction department organized a design competition.This paper uses the sec-ond-prize work from the competition,In-Situ Agricultural Housing:New Residential Design under a Prefabricated Box Assembly System,as an analysis case.By integrating technical innovation with local cultural context,the design focuses on creating a'modular structural system that is sustainable and rooted in local tradition.'This approach aims to offer a reference for creating modern,high-performance,cost-effective,and comfortable prefabricated rural hous-es.The conclusion emphasizes that prefabricated rural housing,with its high construction efficiency and environmen-tal benefits,can provide a modern,practical,and sustainable living environment that meets local farmers'needs.
