STUDY ON THE STABILITY OF SOIL SLOPES IN SHAANXI PROVINCE UNDER RAINFALL INFILTRATION CONDITIONS
To investigate the impact of different rainfall conditions on the stability of various types of slopes, this study uses numerical simulation software to establish a slope stability calculation model based on unsaturated seep-age theory and the Richards equation, the model calculates the safety factors for different types of slopes. The results show that as rainfall intensity increases, the safety factor of the slope decreases, and the time required for slope fail-ure under rainfall conditions becomes shorter.A rainfall threshold curve was fitted using critical rainfall intensity and duration data, the accuracy of the curve was validated using historical landslide data from the study area. The pa-per presents an effective finite element simulation method for determining rainfall thresholds for soil slopes, the find-ings provide valuable reference for studies on critical rainfall thresholds for slope instability and failure under simi-lar rainfall conditions.
