NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF RC FRAME BEAMS CONSIDERING SHEAR EFFECTS
To analyze the seismic performance of RC frame beams, this paper conducts numerical modeling using OPENSEES with both fiber models and fiber models considering shear effects.Comparative analysis shows that the results from the shear-influenced fiber model align well with experimental results during static pushover analysis of the RC frame beams. This approach effectively simulates the force performance of RC frame beams under seismic ac-tions,providing a new method for numerical modeling and seismic vulnerability analysis of RC frame beams.Under strong seismic actions,RC frame beams enter a nonlinear response phase, where the backbone curve may even enter a descending segment. The load-bearing capacity of the structure sharply declines, and deformation gradually in-creases,posing a risk of collapse. Therefore,it is particularly important to simulate the mechanical performance of RC frame beam components in the descending segment of the backbone curve during seismic response analysis. The modeling method proposed in this paper effectively simulates the mechanical performance of RC frame beam compo-nents in this descending segment, laying a theoretical foundation for collapse analysis of RC frame structures.
