RESEARCH PROGRESS ON THE SOLAR ENERGY UTILIZATION POTENTIAL OF URBAN SPATIAL FORMS
The application of solar technology can effectively reduce fossil energy consumption and is an important measure for low-carbon urban development.Urban spatial morphology significantly influences the potential for solar energy utilization. This paper reviews the progress in quantitative indicators of urban spatial morphology and simula-tion methods for solar energy potential, summarizing the impact of urban spatial morphology on the availability of three solar technologies and identifying existing research gaps.Future research should be context-specific,develop-ing a comprehensive evaluation system that includes multiple scales and technologies to provide a theoretical founda-tion and scientific basis for enhancing solar technology availability and urban planning design.
