SEISMIC VULNERABILITY ANALYSIS OF CONTINUOUS BEAM BRIDGES UNDER SCOUR AND CORROSION
As the service life of bridges increases, the stability of the bridge foundation gradually decreases due to scour from water flow.In the event of an earthquake, bridges are highly susceptible to damage.Therefore,determin-ing the limit state of the structure is key to conducting vulnerability analysis. This paper, based on an actual engi-neering case, compares vulnerability curves under different performance levels with the same scour depth and corro-sion degree, vulnerability curves under the same seismic performance level and scour depth with different corrosion degrees, and vulnerability curves under the same performance level and corrosion conditions with varying scour depths. The research results show that with the improvement in seismic performance, the exceedance probability of the structure decreases.Scour significantly impacts the vulnerability curves;the deeper the scour, the higher the ex-ceedance probability for the corresponding performance level. These findings provide an important theoretical basis for bridge safety assessment and maintenance, emphasizing the need to consider foundation stability and material degradation in both design and operational processes.
