To clarify the pavement performance of emulsified asphalt in situ cold recycling technology,a finite ele-ment method was used to study the temperature distribution and mechanical response of cold recycled pavements. The results indicate that cold recycled pavements have stricter requirements for the high and low-temperature perfor-mance of the surface materials compared to milling and overlay structures(with a temperature difference of 3-4℃ at high temperatures and 0.5℃ at low temperatures). The vertical compressive stress in the cold recycled structural layer is lower than that in milling and overlay(approximately 2.0%reduction),but the compressive strain is slightly greater.Additionally, the cold recycled structure can reduce horizontal stress within the structural layer by about 25%,al-though the horizontal compressive stress at the top of the surface layer is greater than that in milling and overlay.
