The mechanical property analysis of CRAFT background field coil magnet and cryostat
The background field coil and cryostat have significant impact on the operation of CRAFT system.In order to en-sure the stability operation of the system,based on the theories of no-momentum,linear vibration and random vibration,the static characteristics,modal response and random vibration characteristics of cryostat and background field coil were studied by u-sing finite element method.The research results show that the magnet system will produce large deformation under the impact of earthquake.Therefore,taking the deformation of the background field coil and cryostat as the optimization goal,the optimal de-sign was carried out to study the response of the background field coil and cryostat under different loads,so as to obtain the opti-mal design scheme.This study in the paper will provide theoretical guidance for the fabrication and seismic optimization design of the superconducting test platform in the future.
