Numerical study on water-alcohol heat transfer characteristics of integrated sublimation driven cold plate
Integrated Sublimation Driven Coldplate(ISDC)is a hot research topic in the field of high heat consumption and new heat dissipation in deep space. The heat transfer characteristics of water-alcohol mixture of cold plate driven by integrated sublimation was studied by COMSOL Multiphysics, and the effects of glycol concentration, heat flux, circulating water inlet mass flow rate and feed water inlet temperature on the heat transfer characteristics of ISDC under different heat dissipation mechanisms were analyzed. The results show that increasing the concentration of ethylene glycol would enhance the heat dissipation effect of ISDC.When the concentration of ethylene glycol is 20%,the surface temperature of the cooling plate of ISDC is 1.54 K lower than that without alcohol; As the heat flux density gradually increases, the heat dissipation capacity of ISDC gradually decreases;Increasing the inlet mass flow rate of circulating water in ISDC mode can enhance the heat dissipation capacity of ISDC,but its heat dissipation effect is opposite in sublimation mode;Reducing the thickness of porous tubes can enhance the heat dissipation effect of ISDC.
