Influence of flow channel number distribution on the performance of parallel flow condensers for batteries
Aiming at the problems of much heat emission and large volume of cooling system during the operation of hydro-gen fuel cell vehicle,an experimental test device simulating the cooling system of hydrogen fuel cell was designed and construc-ted,and the phase change medium HFE-7100 was used as the circulating medium of the system to investigate the effects of flow channel layout and flow path number on heat dissipation and pressure drop of the parallel flow condenser. The results show that, under the condition of the same number of flow paths, the cooling performance of the parallel flow condenser with asymmetric lay-out 4-flow(12-9-7-4)is better than that of the symmetric layout 4-flow(8-8-8-8)structure,whereas under the condition of asymmetric layout, the cooling performance of the parallel flow condenser with 3-flow(15-11-6)is better than that of the 4-flow(12-9-7-4)structure.Overall,the parallel flow condenser with an asymmetric layout 3-process(15-11-6)is more suitable for the hydrogen fuel cell cooling system.
