Experimental and numerical study on dynamic characteristics of distributed heaters defrosting for refrigerator evaporator
To solve the problem of poor vertical defrosting synchronization of the frost-free refrigerator evaporator with a large aspect ratio, experimental and numerical studies were carried out on the defrosting performance of the distributed heaters with the optimal arrangement. The results show that the vertical defrosting synchronization is significantly improved with the opti-mal arrangement of the upper section heaters in 8/19 rows, the defrosting lag time, the daily power consumption and the freezer temperature rise are reduced by 10 min,1.72%and 1.1 ℃,respectively. The numerical results show that, the distributed heater has higher defrosting speed and defrosting efficiency in the early and late defrosting stages. The shortening of defrosting time makes the heat absorption of the evaporator and the heat leakage of the freezer decrease significantly, which is the main reason for the reduction of power consumption.
