Numerical research on heat performance of a liquid cooling system for high mobility radar
In this paper,the liquid cooling system for the radar was designed and simulated,and the key factors affecting the system were analyzed.The heat exchanger calculation model,the liquid cooling system analysis model and numerical simula-tion model were developed to estimate the extent degree of system heat dissipation ability by those factors.In calculation of heat exchanger,it is found that air flow rate not only increase aerodynamic drag but also lead to coolant flow resistance and efficiency nonlinearly increase,critical value appears at 3.05 m3/s,same trend appear in the change of coolant rate and critical value ap-pears at 65 L/min.In liquid cooling system analysis,it is found that the open ratio of by-pass valve will influence the flow rate of radar and further increase the feed liquid temperature,the open ratio should below 13%.In transient analysis,It is found out that the heat dissipation ability will change in starting process.By analyzing the result of numerical simulation,the external wind will change the working point of the fan and cause overall performance loss.
