The preparation method of copper-based catalysts for catalytic cracking of methanol to carbon monoxide was stud-ied.A series of modified Cu-Zn-Al catalysts were prepared by co-precipitation method, and the active component Cu in the catalysts was modified by Ni,and the catalytic performance of the catalysts was investigated. The experimental results show that the catalyst prepared under the conditions of Cu-Zn-Al-Ni mass ratio of 45∶45∶5∶5 and pH 7.5 has the best activity at 300℃.At this time, the conversion of CO is 90.5%and the selectivity is 96.39%.
