Pulmonary diffusion function refers to the rate of gas exchange,mainly reflecting the permeability of the alveolar capillary membrane,and is an important indicator for assessing pulmonary microvascular disease.In the examination of pul-monary diffusion function,the choice of test gas is based on various factors.Due to the complexity of directly calculating the diffusion amounts of oxygen(O2)and carbon dioxide(CO2),and the presence of multiple influencing factors,clini-cally,carbon monoxide(CO)is preferred as the ideal test gas for determining pulmonary diffusion function,with indicator gases typically being oxygen,helium,methane,acetylene,etc.How to select the appropriate gas cylinder to ensure that the mixed gas can be stably stored in the cylinder is an important factor affecting the accuracy of the results of pulmonary diffusion function determination.The selection of gas cylinder materials and the treatment methods of gas cylinders were studied,and the prices of different types of gas cylinders were compared.Moreover,the gas cylinders meeting the require-ments of pulmonary diffusion function test were selected,which met the needs of various users.
