Experimental Study on Triaxial Mechanical Properties of Silty Mudstone under the Influence of Acidic Environment
Triaxial compression tests of silt mudstone samples were performed under various acid environments in order to study the impact of acidic environment on the mechanical properties of silty mudstone.The findings reveal that:(1)The triaxial peak strength of the specimen significantly decreased with increasing immersion solution pH value and soaking time,the degree of attenuation of the specimen after crossing the peak stress decreased noticeably,and the silty mudstone gradually changed from hard and brittle failure to tough failure.(2)The silty mudstone sample's viscosity and internal friction angle are significantly reduced after soaking in acid solution;(3)Under the same soaking conditions,as confining pressure is increased,the main fracture inclination angle of the specimen failure surface gradually decreases,the crack width widens,the micro-fissure of the specimen increases,and the integrity gradually deteriorates.The integrity of the ruined silty mudstone sample deteriorated along with the confining pressure and soaking duration as the pH value rose.
