Suitability Evaluation of Zhengzhou Engineering Construction and Underground Space Based on the AHP Method
As Zhengzhou City's urban building expands into underground spaces,it is urgent to assess the suitability of regional engineering construction and underground spaces. The Analytic Hierarchy Process is performed to evaluate the suitability of various burial depths in the study area, taking into account the influence of engineering geology, seismology, hydrogeology, topography, and geological hazards. The suitability zoning was illustrated using the regional 3D geological model and GIS.According to the data, the area suitable for engineering building in Zhengzhou accounts for 44.79% of the total area.Furthermore, the aggregate area of suitable and extremely suitable zones across various depths of underground space surpasses 70%,indicating tremendous growth potential. In contrast,as burial depth increases, the region classed as less appropriate grows overall. The study's findings would be used as a significant reference for regional engineering construction,as well as the creation and building of subterranean areas.
