Abstract
Pride and prejudice was written by Jane Austen,a distinguished romantic novelistin the 19th century.The first decade of l9th century saw this story.At that time only by marrying a person who belongs to the middle or high class can the women gain their social status.This paper attempts to show Jane Austen‘s views on marriage through the discussion of the marriages of four couples.
