基于沈阳师范大学图书馆信息素质教育发展过程的回顾,对本馆信息素质教育工作从起步至今40年里的教育内容、教育形式、教育环境的迭代升级、管理模式的优化过程以及遇到的问题和困境进行了系统总结.同时对如何应对未来发展的挑战加以思考,探讨未来信息素质教育工作高质量发展的目标与方向.
Practice and Reflection on 40 Years of Information Literacy Instruction in Shenyang Normal University Library
The aim of this article is to review the development of information literacy instruction of Shenyang Normal University library over the past 40 years,and propose a way forward for information literacy instruction in academic libraries. With method of literature review,key developments related to information literacy in China and abroad were reviewed,including standards,statements and documents from 1980s. Following a brief look at the background of information literacy development in higher education,this article traced the chronological development periods of information literacy instruction of Shenyang Normal University Library. (1)The start-up period marked by the found of the Literature Retrieval teaching section in 1984 and the beginning of the Literature Retrieval course among undergraduates. (2)The development period from 2003 to 2012 with the library structured its liaison teams into disciplinary areas,with Information Liaison Librarians responsible for outreach,education and research support. (3) The expansion period with the found of Information Literary Instruction Center in 2013,by updating curricula across years to ensure information literacy skills built progressively and developed over time. It indicates several innovative practices of the information literacy instruction,such as a strategic action plan with clear goals and guidance towards information literary instruction,a robust teaching team with expertise and well-developed training scheme,a specifically designed textbook with a broad coverage of more than 60 colleges and universities in China,a multimedia classroom with virtual reality facilities and diversified functions,a set of teaching pedagogy with abundant teaching resources and innovative techniques. It proposes several strategies such as to enact a series of standards for information literacy instruction,equip information literacy instruction with artificial intelligence,develop scenario-based curriculum to support information literacy instruction,establish an open and shared information literacy instruction platform,build a professional teaching team and promote the high-quality development of information literacy instruction from several aspects to evaluate the effectiveness of information literacy instruction. Faced with challenges in digital intelligence era,this article concludes with a discussion of future outlooks and calls for the libraries to push the boundaries of the information literacy instruction and proactively innovate in the content,methods,applications and paradigms of teaching and learning,addressing the full spectrum of information literacy competencies at a high level.
