The spectrometer experiment holds significant educational value in college physics laboratory courses, aiding students in deepening their understanding of optical theory and precision measurement. It proposes and explores a simplified method for upgrading traditional spectrometer apparatus using smartphone and phone holder, specifically addressing the challenges of spectrometer calibration.By utilizing the level indicator and camera grid features of smartphones, students are able to perform the initial leveling of the telescope and sample stage more intuitively and accurately.During fine adjustments and the measurement of the prism's apex angle, the stability of the phone holder and the high-definition display of the smartphone camera enable students to observe experimental phenomena in the telescope's eyepiece in real-time.This approach significantly reduces the difficulty of experimental operations and minimizes visual fatigue. The proposed upgrade not only enhances the efficiency and quality of the experiment but also increases students'interest and comprehension.Given its low cost and ease of implementation, this method has considerable potential for widespread adoption.
