Comparative Analysis of Numerical Simulation of Common Compaction Methods for Large Rotor Forgings
Aiming at several compaction methods commonly used in the forging process of large rotor forgings,several commonly used core compaction indexes are selected.DEFORM-3D software was used to simulate the single-hammer screw down,one-time upsetting-drawing and twice upsetting-drawing processes of 199 t steel ingot.Through the comparative analysis of the simulation results,the compaction effects of different drawing methods are compared,which provides a basis for the selection and reasonable combination of compaction methods in actual production.
