Progress of Research on Microstructure and Properties of High-chromium Cast Iron
Wear-resistant materials play a key role in industrial development.High-chromium cast iron has been rapidly developed due to its excellent wear resistance and low cost. The research on high-chromium cast iron mainly focuses on the preparation process, microstructure and performance control, wear resistance and so on.In this paper, the research in recent years was reviewed by means of bibliometrics, and the focus of the research was introduced. The research status in recent years was summarized from the latest progress of wear resistance research, the influence of alloying composition and heat treatment on microstructure and properties. The studies have shown that M7 C3 carbide is the most important strengthening phase in the microstructure of high-chromium cast iron, which can significantly improve the strength and wear resistance of the matrix.Heat treatment of high-chromium cast iron is also helpful for refining the grains and improving the hardness and wear resistance. In addition, the properties of high chromium cast iron can also be improved by adding alloying elements or strengthening phases. For example, the mechanical properties of the material are significantly improved after the addition of Ti2 AlC.In short, the research on the preparation process, microstructure and performance control, wear resistance and other aspects of high-chromium cast iron is conducive to optimize its performance and expand the fields of application.
