The as-cast microstructure of traditional IN706 and modified IN706 alloy was observed and analyzed, and the law of precipitated phase re-dissolution was studied. The results show that there are plenty of γ+γ′eutectic structure,η phases,Laves phases and M(C,N) in alloy as-cast structure. γ+γ′eutectic structure and needle-like η phase could be completely re-dissolved into the matrix when the holding temperature is above 1100℃. For IN706 alloy, the incipient melting point of the Laves phase is 1160~1180℃. For the IN706m alloy, the incipient melting point of the Laves phase is 1140~1160℃. In actual production, choose 1140℃ and hold for 8h,Laves phases could be completely re-dissolved into the matrix without incipient melting, and the element microsegregation can be eliminated effectively.
