The article describes the important role of surface treatment technology for metal forming molds,outlines the common surface treatment methods and their characteristics,and analyzes the influence of differ-ent surface treatment technologies on factors such as anti-wear and anti-corrosion of molds.At the same time,it puts forward the ways to optimize the surface treatment technology,including the optimization of process parameters,the selection and matching of materials,and so on.It is emphasized that in specific ap-plications,different regionalized surface treatment solutions should be taken into full consideration of the structure and function of the molds and optimized in synergy with the mold design,so as to bring out the maximum utility of surface treatment.
