It is a strategic choice of a country to build a strong country with the innovation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry.The transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry cannot be separated from the support of vocational education.Cultivating students'innovative ability in mechanical ba-sic classroom is a new requirement and new task given to professional courses by educational development.As a professional basic course of secondary vocational equipment manufacturing major,mechanical basic course is the main position of cultivating students'innovation ability.In view of the problems existing in the cultivation of innovative ability of mechanical basic curriculum teaching,this paper proposes the renewal of teacher education concept,digging out the educational elements of curriculum innovation,designing innova-tive projects,improving the teaching mode of mechanical basic curriculum,so as to realize the effective cul-tivation of the innovation ability of students in mechanical basic curriculum in secondary vocational schools.
