The production scheduling problem of mechanical processing equipment is a complex and impor-tant optimization problem in the manufacturing industry,which directly affects production efficiency and cost.This article conducts optimization research on production scheduling of mechanical processing equipment based on genetic algorithm,constructs corresponding scheduling models,and proposes optimization objective functions.The optimized scheduling scheme was obtained through the solution of genetic algorithm.This ar-ticle provides a detailed introduction to the principle of genetic algorithm and its application in production scheduling,and verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method through testing in a mechanical processing workshop.The results indicate that the optimization method based on genetic algorithm can effectively reduce the total delivery time(Makespan)in production scheduling and improve equipment utilization,thereby en-hancing production efficiency.
