Spillover Effects and Regional Differences of Seed Industry Innovation on Food Security
Constructing the evaluation system of food security and seed industry innovation indicators, based on the panel data from 2001 to 2020,the research calculated the food security development index, and tested the spatial spillover effect of seed industry innovation and the regional differences from the regional and provincial perspective. The results showed that:(1)The food security index showed an upward trend. The food security index in the main grain producing areas was slightly higher, while the food security index in the balanced production and marketing are-as was relatively low;(2)The spatial distribution of food security development level showed a decreasing trend from coastal to inland, with obvious spatial agglomeration characteristics;(3)The innovation environment and innovation output had significant impacts on the three regions. The indirect effects of innovation input were different. The degree of marketization development had an important impact on the food security in the main food sales areas, while agricul-tural basic conditions such as agricultural technology conditions and agricultural human capital had a greater impact on the food security development in the main food production areas and the production and marketing areas.
