Development Level and Influencing Factors of Chinese Cross-border E-commerce
This paper measures the development level of Chinese cross-border e-commerce from the strength and potential dimensions. It discusses the role of price mechanism, support mechanism and competition-cooperation mechanism in the cross-border e-commerce. The results are as followings:(1) The development level of cross-bor-der e-commerce shows a small growth trend in China. Its growth has changed the form of Chinese traditional foreign trade to a certain extent, but it has not fundamentally achieved a new breakthrough. (2)Compared with the devel-opment strength of cross-border e-commerce, the development potential of that has shown a trend of scale growth under the stimulation of the COVID-19. And its interregional gap has decreased. However, the degree of informa-tional and technological development is difficult to remedy in various regions. (3)The degree of variable affects to the development of cross-border e-commerce from low to high is in the order of price mechanism, competition-coop-eration mechanism and support mechanism. The operating cost rate of industrial enterprises and Sino US trade fric-tion negatively affect the development level of cross-border e-commerce, while government policies positively affect that, but the degree of impact is low. It shows that the policy effect of cross-border e-commerce has not yet been fully demonstrated.
