Spatial Relationship between Ecological Resources, Industrial Structure and Environmental Pollution: An Examination Based on Provincial Data
This paper takes panel data from 30 provincial-level administrative regions in China from 2001 to 2020 to construct a spatial econometric model to analyze the spatial relationship between ecological resources, in-dustrial structure, and their interaction with environmental pollution. The results show that:(1) Environmental pol-lution has a significant spatial positive autocorrelation, and ecological resources and industrial structure have a spa-tial impact on it. (2) Ecological resource conservation has a significant negative impact on industrial solid waste, industrial sulfur dioxide, industrial wastewater and other pollutants in the region, but has no significant spatial effect on environmental pollution in the surrounding areas. (3) The impact of industrial restructuring on sulfur di-oxide pollution and industrial wastewater pollution in this region and surrounding areas is significantly negative, and the industrial solid waste pollution in this region has an"inverted U-shaped"influence, but there is no spatial effect. (4) The synergistic effect of ecological resource construction and industrial structure adjustment is signifi-cantly negatively correlated with all kinds of pollution in the local and surrounding areas, and can promote the spa-tial pollution reduction effect of ecological resource conservation through interaction.
