Study on Spatial Economic Effects of Shanghai City Suburban Subway Stations on the Surrounding Areas
This paper takes 60 suburban subway stations in Shanghai city as examples to analyze the spatial e-conomic effects of suburban metro stations on the surrounding areas. The article applies nighttime lighting data com-bined with RDD method to analyze it.The research results show that the opening of subway stations has a signifi-cant economic impact on the surrounding areas and this effect characterizes by clearly distance decay. The opening of the subway can make the light brightness within the radius of 1 200 m area of its station to get a significant in-crease,but there is no significant treatment effect for the area outside this distance range. This spatial economic effect also has obvious heterogeneity for the subway stations at moderate distances to the city center, there is a sig-nificant treatment effect for the opening of the subway station, while the other groups do not exist.
