The"17 Years"films present audiences with two types of disability images:those of disabled people who suffered from the exploitation of the old society,and those of heroes who became disabled while building the new socialist China.The former testifies to the legitimacy and institutional superiority of the new regime by disengaging the domain in the community of suffering and reconstructing new subjects in the new China;the latter dissipates disability anxiety in the collective social movement by celebrating and curing the disabilities of the heroes of the new era.Through the analysis and disassembly of the disability narrative device,we can find that this shared narrative model not only uses the disabled image to carry the ideology of the new regime,but also uses the rigid disability pattern to ensure each other's political correctness.
