A brief discussion on the design essentials of age-friendly lighting fixtures
Against the backdrop of global population aging,product design that caters to the needs of the elderly becomes particularly crucial.Especially in the field of lighting applications,the design of age-friendly lighting fixtures has emerged as one of the important research directions.This paper puts forward the goal of optimizing lighting fixture design to enhance the light environment quality for the elderly.It analyzes the visual changes in light and color perception among the elderly population and summarizes the key points of age-friendly lighting design,including flexible brightness adjustment,selection of comfortable lighting colors,effective anti-glare design,and easy-to-operate control mechanisms,all aimed at providing a more humanized and safe lighting environment for the elderly.Additionally,this paper proposes innovative design strategies and methods,emphasizes the application of interdisciplinary design approaches in understanding the comprehensive needs of elderly users and explores the potential of smart technology to enhance the functionality and adaptability of lighting fixtures,to provide practical guidelines and research directions for lighting fixture design methods and innovations in the future aging society.
