Design of metrological calibration software for output angle of microwave landing system simulator based on LabVIEW
MLS simulator is utilized for testing aircraft equipment within microwave landing system. To simplify the metrological calibration of output angle parameters in the MLS simulator, this paper employs LabVIEW to develop software aimed at enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of metrological calibration. The main control computer connects with a digital oscilloscope via a LAN port and with a power amplifier via a USB port, utilizing NI-VISA to facilitate cross-platform instrument control. The software forms a set of programmatic control commands through standard instrument control statements, thereby controlling the digital oscilloscope and power amplifier to achieve fundamental instrument setup and waveform data extraction. The extracted waveform undergoes peak detection and round-trip pulse extraction, establishing the pulse's-3 dB point location and the oscilloscope's time base information to compute the beam time difference.Ultimately, the output angle is determined, and a database is established to manage metrological data. This design enhances the calibration efficiency of the MLS simulator's output angle, ensuring data accuracy, facilitating user management, and enabling historical data tracking and analysis, offering good compatibility and portability.
