Hydrochemical Characteristics and Enrichment Mechanism of Shallow High Fluorine Groundwater in Feng County
The excessive F-concentration of shallow groundwater is a serious problem in Feng County, which poses a threat to the drinking water health of rural residents. To ensure the safety of rural drinking water, the F-distribution characteristics and enrichment mechanism of shallow groundwater were explored by combining conventional water chemistry methods such as piper diagram,Gibbs dia-gram,ion ratio analysis and isotope water chemistry methods. The results showed that the F-concentration of shallow groundwater in the study area ranged from 0.21 to 5.52 mg/L,with an overall trend of high in the northeast and low in the southwest.Highly fluorida-ted groundwater accounted for 75%of the total, with a weakly alkaline environment, and the main water chemistry type was Na-S04-Cl type. The F-enrichment of shallow groundwater is mainly controlled by water-rock interaction, with fluorite dissolution, dolomite and calcite precipitation and cation exchange promoting the release of F.The weak alkaline environment provides OH-to promote F-desorp-tion.Anthropogenic factors such as agricultural irrigation and industrial effluent discharge have a strong influence on shallow groundwater F-concentration.Evaporation concentration and agricultural fertilization only affect the enrichment of F-in individual areas.
