Design of n/γ Real-time Discrimination Method Based on FPGA
This paper describes the design of real-time n/γ discrimination method suitable for FPGA.The n/γ discrimination means that in nuclear radiation detection, when nuclear pulse data are collected by detectors that can detect neutron signals(n)and γ-ray signals at the same time, some methods need to be used to distinguish the two signals. The two kinds of signals will be different in the pulse shape, specifically in the pulse attenuation section, the γ signal will attenuate faster than the neutron signal. The real-time discrimination method is realized and verified by method selection, method implementation and simulation design.
