Abstract
This paper describes the differences between the effective application of microcontrollers and PLCs in industrial control systems,as well as their application relationship.It introduces the characteristics and practical methods of serial communication technology between microcontrollers and PLCs.Due to the advantages of PLC's communication capability,it has been widely used in automatic control.
