Application of Firewall Technology in Computer Network Security
This paper describes the types and characteristics of firewall technologies,including packet filtering firewalls,state aware firewalls,application layer firewalls,and network address translation(NAT)firewalls.It analyzes the value of firewall technology in computer network security,and explores the effective application of firewall technology from the aspects of intrusion detection and blocking,traffic filtering and policy management,security enhancement of virtual private networks(VPNs),and remote access control.
