This paper expounds the characteristics and development of automation technology in power engineering systems.It explores the application of automation technology in power engineering systems,including simulation technology,intelligent protection technology,artificial intelligence technology,integration technology,automatic monitoring technology,and PLC technology.It introduces the specific applications of automation technology in power system monitoring,equipment fault diagnosis,power grid dispatching,and relay protection.
