Does the Stability of Executive Team Affect Corporate Digital Transformation?—A Study Based on Enterprise Risk-Taking and Corporate Strategic Transformation Paths
Using listed companies'data from Shenzhen and Shanghai stock markets in China from 2007 to 2022,this paper investigates the influence of executive team stability on digital transformation of companies,along with the underlying mechanisms.Our findings reveal a significant positive corre-lation between the extent of a company's digital transformation and the stability of its executive team.In other words,the stronger the stability of the executive team is,the more advanced the progress of the company in digital transformation is.Meanwhile,we find that the degree of corporate risk-tak-ing plays a mediating role between executive team stability and digital transformation of enterprises.Further research suggests that equity incentive poli-cies and alumni relationships can affect the connection between executive team stability and digital transformation of businesses.These research out-comes not only help understand the link between executive team stability and corporate digital transformation but also provide fresh insights and approa-ches to deeply comprehend the functional mechanism of executive teams and digital construction of enterprises.
