How New Quality Productive Forces Affect the Total Factor Productivity:The Mechanism and the Test of the Effect of Scientific and Technological Innovation
Scientific and technological innovation is the core driving force of new quality productive forces.The improvement of total factor productivity is the core symbol of the formation and development of new quality productive forces.Based on this,with the three dimensions of"quantity accumula-tion,quality improvement and innovative development"as the target layer,and"laborer,labor objects and labor materials"as the criterion layer,a comprehensive evaluation index system for the development of new quality productive forces is constructed.The mediation effect model,the spatial Du-bin model and the threshold effect model are used to explore the influence path of new quality productive forces on total factor productivity,the spatial spillover effect,and the heterogeneity effect of the differentiated scientific and technological innovation ability.The study finds that the new quality pro-ductive forces can promote the increase of total factor productivity and has spatial spillover effect.Further research finds that the new quality productive forces form a non-linear positive U-shaped relationship with total factor productivity,that is,the promotion effect comes from the high level of new qual-ity productive forces;scientific and technological innovation forms intermediary effect and threshold effect in the influence of new quality productive forces on total factor productivity;at the regional level,the influence of new quality productive forces on total factor productivity presents obvious heter-ogeneous characteristics.Accordingly,it provides reference for improving regional total factor productivity from the aspects of cultivating new quality productive forces and enhancing regional scientific and technological innovation ability.
