Stability analysis of mixed granite cutting slope under different rainfall types
Rainfall is one of the important factors affecting slope stability.Rainfall infiltration leads to the increase of pore water pressure, the decrease of matrix suction, the rise of groundwater level and the de-crease of the shear strength of rock and soil, which has adverse effects on slope stability. In order to study the variation law of seepage characteristics and stability of mixed granite cutting slope under different rain-fall types(uniform type and intermittent type)and different rock and soil permeability coefficients, based on the saturated-unsaturated theory and the strength reduction finite element theory,Plaxis2D software was used to analyze the seepage characteristics and stability of standard mixed granite cutting slope under different rainfall types and different rock and soil permeability coefficients within 10 days.Combined with a slope engineering example in Yunnan, the slope stability of 30 days of rainfall was analyzed. The results show that the influence of rainfall on slope stability is limited to rock and soil with small permeability coef-ficient.For rock and soil with a large permeability coefficient, the greater the rainfall intensity is,the lower the slope stability coefficient is,and the slope stability is the lowest under uniform rainfall conditions. The greater the permeability coefficient of the soil and the greater the rainfall intensity, the less obvious the hysteresis of the slope affected by rainfall. The type of rainfall has a certain influence on the depth of the slip surface of the slope,of which uniform heavy rainfall has larger influence on the strength of shallow soil.
