Study on the characteristics and causes of groundwater metal contamination in an industrial park in Gannan
In order to explore the characteristics and causes of metal pollution in groundwater of an abandoned rare earth mine-type industrial park in Gannan, spatial analysis, groundwater quality evaluation and multivariate statistical methods were used to analyze 6 kinds of metal elements with high exceeding rate in 75 groups of groundwater samples in the study area. The results show that the study area is polluted by different degrees of metal pollution, and the over standard rates are Mn(79%),Be(58%),Tl(58%),Al(53%),Fe(42%)and Pb(37%),respectively,the groundwater pollution in the middle of A River is obvious, and the results of Nemerow comprehensive pollution index also show that the groundwater discharge area is seriously polluted.Tl,Pb,Mn and Al are highly correlated, and the correlation coefficients are Tl-Pb(0.83),Mn-Pb(0.59)and Mn-Al(0.58),respectively,indicating that these four metal elements may be combined pollution or in ho-mologous relationship. The main reasons for the current situation of groundwater metal concentration exceeding the standard in the industrial park are the historical mining activities and geological background of the mining area, among which the leaching activities in mining are the main sources of pollution.
