Formation evolution and landscaping geological process of Chaibuxi Grand Canyon
Chaibuxi Grand Canyon is a typical karst canyon,which gathers three levels of karst landforms in the early,middle and late periods.This kind of canyon is an ideal place for the study of geomorphic evolution and landscape geological processes.Because of its unique karst landscape,it has achieved new connotation of geo-morphic evolution,hydrologic evolution and geological process of landscape construction.The formation litholo-gy,geological structure and geomorphologic evolution provide a unique geological background for the formation of Chaibuxi Grand Canyon.The combination of neotectonic movement,epigenetic transformation,climate change and hydrological evolution shapes the landscape of Chaibuxi Grand Canyon effectively,with the typical characteristics of"magnificent,strange,dangerous,beautiful and secluded"which attracts people's attention.On the basis of geological history analysis and geological process analysis,this study work deduces the geomor-phic formation process of Chaibuxi Goand Canyon and summarizes the geological function of regional land-scape.These valuable research results and new discoveries manifests important theoretical and practical signifi-cance for the research and construction of Chaibuxi Geoparks and scientific tourism.
