A Low Harmonic High Efficiency CRM BOOST PFC Converter
In order to solve the contradiction between the total harmonic distortion(THD)of input current and the operation efficiency of Boost power factor correction(PFC)converter at half load in critical conduction mode(CRM),based on the traditional resonance time control,a partial resonance time control method is proposed. The improvement effect of the partial resonance time control on the input current THD and the working efficiency of the converter is analyzed.By properly adjusting the reverse resonance time, the control signal by a digital signal processor DSP28032 is used to determine the turn-on time of the switching tube. Finally,an experimental prototype of a 400 W single-phase CRM Boost PFC converter is established. The experimental results show that the proposed control method can re-duce the THD value effectively and ensure the working efficiency of the converter.
