Design and Implementation of a Brick Module Power Supply with Active Clamp Forward Topology
Aiming at the goal of military electronic components localization, with the MCOTS-C-28 1/4 brick power supply made by SynQor company in the United States as the target,an active clamp forward DC/DC converter with efficient soft switching is designed. The active clamp technology is employed to improve utilization of magnetic core and reduce the volume of product,at the same time the voltage stress of switch tube and conduction losses are reduced. The external-driven synchronous rectification technology is employed to reduce rectifier loss of output effectively and improve the conversion efficiency. The results of simulation and experiment show that the zero-voltage-switching(ZVS)of main circuit can be realized. When the temperature changes from-55℃ to 100℃ and the input volt-age wide ranges from 16 V to 40 V,the output voltage is basically stable at 28 V,the ripple noise is only 34 mV and the full load con-version efficiency is up to 94.8% .All components used in the product are independently developed by domestic manufacturers, meeting the needs of localization completely.
