Research on wireless data communication gateway for rolling functional components
The scrolling functional components of a CNC machine,when self-installed at the back of the machine,can experience wear and tear over time,which can affect machining accuracy and operational stability.Therefore,it is necessary to monitor their condition.Based on Wi-Fi and 5G technologies,this study designs an embedded industrial gateway with a quad-core high-performance MCU as the core and an efficient operating system as the foundation.It incorporates wireless communication modules,including Wi-Fi and 5G modules,as well as storage units,to realize real-time data acquisition and wireless transmission of the status and performance parameters of the scrolling functional components on the CNC machine.To ensure reliable transmission,the gateway adopts iptables firewall for destination address translation,packet filtering,and forwarding.Additionally,an adaptive queue management method is employed to reduce packet loss.The functionality of the gateway is validated,and transmission speed and packet loss rate are tested.The results demonstrate that the gateway achieves fast transmission rates and low packet loss,thus providing conditions for online analysis of the wear and precision maintenance of the scrolling functional components.
