Design of a pulse generator with compensation unit
The klystron needs pulse power to generate high power microwave, but the output pulse waveform will drop due to factors such as line parasitic parameters, energy storage capacitor capacity and load size.In order to compensate the output drop of the solid-state pulse power supply,a compensation module based on LC parallel resonance is designed.DSP is selected as the control chip to generate three-way sequential control switch tube, and the rising part of the resonant cosine voltage is superimposed with the output pulse voltage to compensate the output voltage drop.A Marx generator with compensation circuit is developed.Experiments show that when the load is 5 Ω and the repetition frequency is 100 Hz,the top drop of the output pulse voltage amplitude of 1.4 kV is compensated from 10% to 3%,which improves the top flatness of the output pulse and the quality of the pulse waveform.
